Michael Kofler

Michael Kofler grew up in rural South Tyrol. He studied Directing in London, where he also worked for several years at a leading film and television production company. Michael is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus, the talent development program of the Berlinale. His screenplay for his debut feature film, ZWEITLAND, (A LAND WITHIN), won the top award in the Racconti Development Lab of the IDM Film Commission. The film had its world premiere in the CineCoPro competition at Filmfest Munich 2025, where it was nominated for the CineCoPro-Award as best international co-production.
