Since 2010, South Tyrol’s support through IDM has been operating as a financial and service partner for creative productions. Initially focused on film, it has also included music since 2025. The aim is to strengthen and further develop the film, music, and creative industries in South Tyrol both qualitatively and quantitatively. The funding also makes an important contribution to cultural diversity and to strengthening the audiovisual and music sectors in Europe.

Thanks to the region’s history, geographical location, and bilingualism in German and Italian, the IDM Film & Music Commission looks beyond borders and acts as a bridge between the markets of Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. A particular focus is placed on promoting co-productions and collaborative projects in film and music between these countries.
