Music Funding
The IDM Music Fund supports both full and partial projects for the production and economic exploitation of musical works, from pre-production and development to recording and post-production including sales through concerts or tours in South Tyrol/Südtirol and Europe.
Unpublished compositions in the pre-production and development stages as well as newly created original works in the recording and post-production stages are eligible for funding.
The goal of the funding is to support music creators, to strengthen music-related professions, and to advance South Tyrol as a location for music productions.
Freelance musicians, ensembles, and self-employed music industry professionals
Companies in the music industry holding valid contracts with artists (e.g., master rights acquisition agreement, management agreement, booking agreement, publishing agreement, or production agreement)
The applicant must have a Partita IVA, UID, or equivalent tax ID number.
An expert committee assesses the cultural, substantive, and economic value of the submitted projects, considering among others how the project contributes to the strengthening of South Tyrol as a cultural location as well as the artistic quality, market opportunities, conclusiveness of the concept as a whole, and the quality of the live performance.
Local value generation is key: the final calculation must contain evidence that a minimum of 120% of the approved funding was spent in South Tyrol. The minimum funding is 10,000 EUR per application, the maximum is 100,000 EUR, for a total funding budget of 275,000 EUR a year.
The funding is granted as de minimis aid within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
Applicants may submit a maximum of three applications per call. The highest possible amount
for the benefit of one and the same grant recipient is 100,000 EUR per submission date.
There are two calls a year.
A consulting session with the IDM Music Commission is mandatory before submitting an application.
