Music Funding
The IDM Music Fund supports both full and partial music projects in order to strengthen South Tyrol/Südtirol as a music location in a regional, national, and international context. Music creators and producers are eligible for funding regardless of where they are based but are required to create verifiable local value, i.e., they must plan project spending in South Tyrol which strengthens the local music sector.
The South Tyrol Music Fund currently has a total funding budget of 275,000 EUR and is planning for two annual calls. The funding is granted as de minimis aid within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
IDM is with the applicants every step of the way: from the initial consulting session and application phase to the granting of the funding, reviewing of project progress, and disbursement.
The application is submitted digitally via an online portal. IDM then prepares the submitted music projects for review by a committee of independent experts. Together with IDM, this committee analyses the projects and assesses their cultural, substantive, and economic value. Based on the resulting funding recommendation, IDM determines the amount to be distributed as part of the music funding.
