The third edition of MASO - Short Film Training Programme, will give up to nine creative teams, eighteen participants in total, the opportunity to create their short films under the supervision and guidance of international experts.

Programme timeline and structure

  • Applications: 9th April - 30th June 2026
  • Project selection: 1st July - 31st July 2026
  • Publication of selected projects: August 2026
  • Workshop #1 at FilmCamp Norway, in Øverbygd, Norway: 15th - 22nd November 2026
  • Online mentoring sessions with each project: December 2026 - end of March 2027
  • Workshop #2 at ZeLIG - School for Documentary in Bolzano, Italy: April 2027 (date still TBD)
  • Shorts production: from April 2027
  • Presentation of the completed shorts at Bolzano Film Festival Bozen and other international festival

Advisory Board MASO #3

The advisory board of MASO consist of 7 film professionals, who will read and evaluate the submitted projects and make the selection of the final participating 8 teams. The elements on which the committee will assess the projects are the artistic value and feasibility of the production, it is also important to present a film without clichés and stereotypical representation.
