1855. Three strangers are drawn into a humid mystery inside a cabin on a snow-covered hill resembling Mandalay Hill, a hill that already exists before the royal city of Mandalay is built around it.
Lin Htet Aung from Myanmar, currently lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. His shorts screened internationally including, New York Film Festival, Karlovy Vary, VIENNALE, IFFR and won several awards including the Tiger Short Award. An alumnus of TIFF Directors’ Lab, Berlinale Talents, Locarno Filmmakers Academy and Asian Film Academy.
Jasper Wiedhöft completed his master’s degree in film studies at Goethe University Frankfurt. Since 2020, he has been working at Reynard Films as a producer. Recent works include A SAD AND BEAUTIFUL WORLD by Cyril Aris and SOMEWHERE BETWEEN SLEEP by Jonas Bak.
