Vermiglio
Maura Delpero1944-1945, a small village hidden among the mountains of Italy's Trentino Alto-Adige region. Lucia, Nanda and Flavia are the three sisters in the local schoolmaster's numerous family. They are 19, 14 and 11 respectively. They are no longer little girls but not yet women. When a group of soldiers finds refuge in the small mountain community, one of them falls in love with Lucia and they get married. The exit of the eldest sister from the family breaks up the trio, leaving the two younger ones in a relationship in which they are sometimes opposed to one another. The last
year of the war marks a turnaround in the lives of the three sisters: Nanda's studies come to an end, a pathway to emancipation opens up for Flavia, and Lucia, who seemed destined to a happy marriage, finds herself facing an unexpected twist.
