Beatrice Segolini graduated in editing in 2016 from the ZeLIG - School for Documentary Film and TV in Bolzano and has since established herself as a film editor and author with a distinctly international profile. Today, she works between editing and documentary directing, bringing her own authorial vision to every project.

What happened to Sherlock Holmes in 1891? A TV series, currently being filmed with elaborate sequences, fight scenes, and stunts at multiple locations in the South Tyrolean mountains, investigates the mystery and tells an exciting story between mystery‑thriller and crime drama.

Behind the scenes: the mystery-thriller “Wolf”

A peculiar atmosphere pervades the forest near the location Caprile (municipality of Tesimo) – hovering between mystique and the bustle of a brightly lit film set in the middle of the night. With over 30 shooting days between April and May, the mystery-thriller “Wolf” (working title) by South Tyrolean filmmaker Nancy Camaldo is being made here.

Pasta, Wine, and Discipline

Tuscany Atmosphere in Margreid: Casòn Hirschprunn served as a filming location for the IDM-supported feature film A Stroll to Syracuse. Starring Charly Hübner and featuring many local talents both in front of and behind the camera. Follow the set visit.

20 film projects funded: from historical and contemporary subjects to the Dolomites’ legends

In the second funding call of the year, IDM film funding supports 20 film projects. Around 100 shooting days are scheduled in South Tyrol for the supported productions.

Local Talents: Q&A with ... Michela Parlavecchio

Michela Parlavecchio is a film producer from Bolzano. She is the co-founder of Frabiatofilm and also collaborates with other productions, assuming various roles in the production department. It is especially important for Michela to pay her contribution in making the film set a healthy, fair workplace based on mutual respect.

IDM Film & Music Commission supports a total of eight music projects in the first funding call of 2026. Five of the funded projects come from Italy (four of which come from South Tyrol), two from Austria, and one from Germany.

Local Talents: Q&A with ... Sigune Stockner

Sigune is a local professional who started to collect her first on-set experience while studying at the National Film Academy in Bologna, by assisting the directing students. Since then, she has steadily deepened her production expertise by working on numerous film and TV projects.
