Support for 15 new projects in the last call of 2025

15 projects have been approved for funding from the IDM Film & Music Commission in the third and last call of 2025. This call focuses on projects in the preparation phase of production – seven in total. 13 film projects from Italy, eight of which from South Tyrol/Südtirol, and two from Germany have been selected for funding. 52 days of shooting are scheduled in South Tyrol.

Second call of 2025: IDM Film Commission Südtirol supports ten projects

Ten projects have been selected to receive funding from the IDM Film Fund & Commission as part of the second call of 2025: short films are well represented in this round, with a total of five projects receiving support. For the first time ever, two animation projects are among the selected productions. In addition, funding has been awarded for the production of two theatrical features and one documentary. Two feature film projects have secured funding for pre-production.

ImpAct, co-productions, and short films in Cannes

From 15 to 21 May 2025, the IDM Film Commission once again attended the Marché du Film on the Croisette in Cannes for a week of networking, panels, and industry events. Among others, a delegation from South Tyrol/Südtirol joined the ImpAct Lab.

Passing the torch

In the summer of 2017, Renate Ranzi and Birgit Oberkofler assumed joint leadership of IDM Film Fund & Commission. Following a restructuring of IDM Film Commission Südtirol/Alto Adige in 2019, Birgit Oberkofler continued to lead the commission on her own. In May 2025, Renate Ranzi will take over as Head of the IDM Film Commission Südtirol.

Local dream team: BFFB and MASO

The South Tyrolean Film Fund and Commission IDM supports a total of ten projects for the first call of 2025. Approximately 50 days of shooting for these projects are scheduled for South Tyrol.
